Soccer Academy
Since I started playing soccer when I was already an adult, I have never had any formal training. I learn just by playing, reading books and watching games on TV -- thank God for Fox Sports World! July 2002 I went to an adult soccer camp. The camp is a great place for adult to learn basic and advanced techniques and learning tactics, which is even more important for us older players. The coaches were top notch professional from US and England.
The camp is housed in a small college in Westminster, MD, one hour west of D.C. We arrived on Sunday afternoon, registered and got a dorm room assigned to us.

The dorm is air-conditioned, but the mattress is, shall we say, not the best on the market. It makes a lot of crinkling noise and you would want to bring some padding to make it more comfortable. You may get a room all for yourself, or share it with one or more people. Since you are sharing the apartment, the temperature may or may not suit you. You should bring a warm blanket just in case. |
